The designer Mirree's paintings draws her inspiration from her Aboriginal heritage. Raised in the Central West of NSW region, her paintings reflect her spiritual connection with the Central West of NSW in Wiradjuri country.
The Tasmanian tiger appeared in a vision that Mirree had whilst meditating.
Her totem of the Dingo was given to her back in 2003 from an elder from her great great grandmothers tribe, located on the border of QLD & NSW.
She felt that the Tasmanian tiger was very similar in energy to her totem of the Dingo and began connecting with it closely through the paintings that she brought forth from her vision, the Dingo's fight to survive extinction is very similar to that of the Tasmanian tiger. Although its name came about because of it stripe markings like a tiger on its back, it was more like a timid dog, with hind legs that would occasionally hop like a Kangaroo. Both male and females had a pouch to carry their young.
