You can find Owl Finches in large flocks of 50-100 in my hometown and around several other places within Wiradjuri country.
Painted on a brown background to represent the Red Earth of my home-town in Dubbo. The meaning Dubbo symbolises Red Earth in Wiradjuri language.
The 3 symbols up the top of painting represent past meeting with the present and represents the Ancestors watching over us.
2 Owl Finches represents nurturing energy which is vital for the establishment of all relationships and home life! And the five-pointed flowers represents new horizons through pushing through boundaries.
The 7 flowers altogether symbolising the number of the divine, magic and completion. Someone who spends alot of time alone engaging in personal or work projects and a person that will find wisdom when meditating from home.
And the 8 stems of flowers represent a strong character which is powerful, trustworthy ad responsible.
