Empowering Women
8th March is International Women’s Day which gives us a chance to stop, pause and recognize the inner beauty from within. Although this is not always an easy thing to do, I think having other women in your corner can help to up-lift you, inspire you and support you which I believe is the key to building a healthier and stronger, more resilient you. But something which is even more powerful is what you can bring to yourself right in this very moment now.
But why is self-empowerment so important for women?
Because we can begin to have distrust within ourself. Maybe we have found ourselves at a crossroads, turning point, life change or break-down simply because we haven’t been able to understand our situation or ourselves on a deeper level enough. We don’t know where to start, we haven’t had the time, we haven’t had enough support from the people around us or perhaps situations have been playing out over and over again which could be an indicator that its time to change, but to change what exactly?
The Pink Lotus is giving us a deeper message about this distrust. It can be crippling to move forward when we feel this way, but there is always something we can do about it and taking small baby steps is all it takes in order to bring back hope and stability to a situation and it all begins with you. You can bring more love, care and support to yourself which would be an excellent starting point, so that you can begin to break down the steps required to start something new, over-ridding any over-whelm or uncertainty you may feel.
You give so much to others everyday, how about putting some time aside for yourself everyday to give back to you, the most important person is you.
Where are some places that you can draw support from if you’ve been struggling lately with everyday tasks, such as at home, work, in your family, friends or community?
Beyond Blue gives us a chance to talk about anything that maybe weighing on our mind.
You can find more information about Beyond Blue in Australia and create a well-being plan for yourself on this link: https://www.beyondblue.org.au/
Alpha is a like-minded group that focuses on faith building with contemplation on deep and meaningful connections with others, you can find more information wherever you maybe located in the world on this link and give yourself the chance to express your story today, although this is the Australian link: https://www.alpha.org.au/
But most of all I’ve personally found having empowering conversations and asking empowering questions as an introspective exercise the most rewarding.
What is an introspective exercise you may ask?
For example it maybe getting out your journal after you’ve had a break-up or been faced with a loss of some kind such as a friend or family member to write down your thoughts and feelings. Another example is asking yourself some direct questions which could lead to uncovering some out-dated thought systems or patterns which could be still playing out from when you were young or in a relationship from the past that didn’t empower you.
It is important to uncover and recognize these kind of thought patterns, especially if we feel like we are not experiencing the change we are looking for to improve and grow in our current relationships with others, especially the relationship with ourself.
This can open up a direct dialogue to yourself, giving back to yourself what you are needing such as -
-Your freedom if you’ve been feeling suffocated by other peoples demands or requests, as women we are asked to do many things on a daily basis. We are required to multi-task, look after the kids, take care of our partner, take care of family members, the list goes on. “I am Free” Card with Lady Beetle helps us to understand any critical thinking about ourself that could be playing out. Try not to ignore these thoughts but observe them without judgement, they are just a reminder that we need to understand where it is coming from so that we can begin to shift and change our perspective, to release and re-discover ourself again with newfound knowledge of our current situation which is more in-line with your happiness. Similar to systems in computers that need updating we often don’t think about the maintenance or upgrading our thought patterns or beliefs are in need of.
- A feeling of relief or calm that you require in order to make tough decisions which has your empowerment at the forefront, instead of in the background all the time whilst everyone around you is getting cared for. “I Am Calm” is beautifully illustrated in the Dreamtime Card Deck Card with Eagle which is helping us to take action in accordance to our calm.

Your Empowerment, as a women we greatly underestimate our own value and worth that we bring into other peoples lives. Your empowerment is having a direct influence on other peoples lives that are within your family, friends, workplace or community circles.
Just like the Red Kangaroo and Crocodile remind us of our Power and being confident in Moving Forward to a more healthier situation and better version of you.
It all starts with ourself and putting in the work for ourself. No one else can do the work for us.
True happiness and self contentment begins with you.
True happiness and divine inspiration is something I take very seriously in my own work and personal ethics, I believe in inspiring other women to lead others also to be the best version of you. This has a direct influence not only on other women but your children as well, helping them to have values and high self-worth to better equip them for the future, there is a big bad world out there and some of the values you hold around yourself can be the most important because they directly impact others your most close to. All the relationships you have with others such as leading men, women and children in their chosen field of work will also reflect to you what you're doing right or wrong for yourself. This helps you build upon your own self-development and empowerment, helping you to improve bit by bit and at your own pace.
Remember there could be a small piece of you within the relationships we have with others around you that is always telling you some direct information that we need to know on a daily basis to improve on ourselves regularly. So that is why journaling can be an important practice to get into the habit of doing, as well as being grateful for what we are already working on or what we want to make happen to improve on our current and future reality.
Cheers to brighter and better you.
